The Project
FreshCart, a growing London grocery delivery startup, needed a cross-platform mobile app to compete with established players. They had a basic website but no mobile presence, losing 70% of potential customers who preferred mobile ordering.
What We Were Up Against
Key challenges included building a smooth cross-platform experience for both iOS and Android with a single codebase, integrating real-time GPS order tracking, handling complex delivery time-slot logic for perishable goods, and implementing a scalable payment system supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, and card payments.
How We Solved It
We developed a React Native mobile application with a Node.js backend. The app features intelligent delivery scheduling with time-slot management, real-time GPS order tracking for customers, a loyalty rewards system with referral codes, push notification marketing campaigns, and integration with Stripe for seamless payments.
